Modifying an Academic Assessment Plan and/or Academic Learning Compact

This approval system request allows academic units to submit modifications to an existing Academic Assessment Plan (AAP) and/or Academic Learning Compact (ALC).

AAPs are an essential component of the University of Florida's curriculum and assessment process for measuring student learning in academic programs, while ALCs identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities students should acquire by completing their major's prescribed course of study.

Revisions to the following components of an AAP and/or ALC require review from the Academic Assessment Committee (AAC):

  • Modifications to Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) or the Assessment Method for an SLO
  • Modifications to the Curriculum Map
  • Modifications to the ALC

Modifications to the program's Mission Statement, Program Goals (PGs), or Evaluation Method for a PG do not require AAC approval and do not need to be submitted through the Academic Approval Tracking System. Academic units may make these changes at the unit level.

Visit the Institutional Assessment website for more information on AAPs and SLOs.
